As your Parent Liaison, my main goal is to facilitate and provide information to parents and students about the resources available throughout the school system and the community.
In addition, I can provide you with information regarding our school, our programs, and community services. Parenting Resources and Computers are also available; please stop by to check out our parenting books and resources on topics such as Discipline, Child Development, College Scholarship information, GED, Test-taking skills, and other fun activities to do with your child, or to get the training you need. And much more.

Greetings, Prospective B.E.S.T. Academy 6-12 Families!
Transition is a natural part of every scholar’s life, and we know that the choice of your son’s next academic home is a challenging one. Here at B.E.S.T. Academy 6-12, we work to make sure each scholar’s transition to the next level is a smooth and seamless one.
We do not take the privilege of educating your son lightly! As the only STEM-certified, all-boys 6-12 school in the state of Georgia, we, along with our 28+ partners, continually work to offer co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities that enhance our scholars’ rigorous classroom experiences, engaging them in real-world, 21st-century activities that enable them to be nationally and internationally competitive.

Dear Parents,
In compliance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act, the B.E.S.T. Academy at the Thomas W. Dortch Jr. Institute informs you that you may request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s teachers and/or instructional paraprofessionals. You may request the following information:

Whether your child’s teacher:
-
Meets state qualification and licensure requirements for the grade levels and subject areas in which they teach;

Is teaching under an emergency or other provisional status that waives state qualification or licensure requirements; and
-
Is teaching in the area of the teacher’s certification.

Whether your child receives services from paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
