State Testing
Dear B.E.S.T. Academy Families,
Georgia Milestones (GMAS) testing will begin on Monday, April 27th. We are asking for your support in helping your scholar be fully prepared each day.
Please review the expectations below to ensure a smooth and successful testing experience:
Daily Expectations:
- Students arrive to school on time each day by 8:25am (8:05am if they would like breakfast provided by the school)
- Testing will begin promptly in the morning
- Students should be well-rested and ready to focus
- Eat breakfast
Cell Phones and Electronic Devices:
- All cell phones, smartwatches, smart glasses, and electronic devices must be turned off and secured during testing in a locker box provided by the test examiner (teacher)
- Students are not permitted to have any electronic devices with them during testing
- If a device is found, it will be considered a testing irregularity
Testing Behavior:
- Students must remain silent and focused during testing
- Students should take their time and give their best effort
- Students should follow all directions given by the test examiner
Attendance Matters:
- It is very important that students are present each day of testing
- Please avoid scheduling appointments during testing days
How You Can Help at Home:
- Ensure your scholar gets a good night’s sleep
- Encourage them to stay positive and do their best
- Remind them that effort and focus are key
We are confident that our students are prepared and ready to show what they know. Thank you for your continued support in helping us create a strong testing environment. If you have any questions, please contact our testing coordinator, Mr. Farod Brooks at Farod.Brooks@apsk12.org.
Sincerely,
Robert Williams, Principal
