FIRST LEGO LEAGUE
Through the FIRST LEGO League, students are able to develop both their design and programming of LEGO based robots to meet specific challenges as well as develop innovative solutions to everyday problems. The process of completing these projects will help develop all of the essential critical thinking, problem solving, communication and perseverance skills necessary for success in the academic and professional worlds.
Innovation, teamwork and problem solving are just some of the many attributes that make BEST Academy proud to celebrate its scholars' outstanding achievements in the FIRST LEGO League. For the 2024-25 school year, BEST Academy's regional team was awarded the title of Regional Champions. These scholars demonstrated an abundance of creativity and their hard work to achieve this honor.
The Regional Championship is indicative of the strength of our STEM programs at BEST Academy. It exemplifies the academy's commitment to preparing scholars to be leaders, innovators and successful individuals in a dynamic and changing world.
ROBOTICS AT BEST
The BEST Robotics Club gives kids in grades 6-12 the chance to experience what it's like to be engineers, innovators, and tech users. This club will also give kids the chance to create a fun and challenging environment where they can develop their ideas into something they can build and test.
As the students go through the process of creating and testing their robotic creations, they will be able to build their confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and improve their ability to solve problems. They will learn the importance of working together as a team and persevering when things do not go as planned. As students work on their robotic projects, they will have the opportunity to acquire hands-on technical knowledge that will help them in their academic and professional careers.
